Masculine attributes, a few years on his shoulders (but he seems younger!) he’s from San Michele all’Adige and probably, he studied oenology at the renowned Istituto Agrario located right at the foot of the farm.
He’s a man of few words but if he could travel he’d go straight to the moon!
In this new #humanwine video Andrea Luchetta farm Bellaveder introduces the Trentodoc Riserva 2011 Brut Nature, chardonnay 100%, coming from the the vineyards in the area of Maso Belvedere in Faedo (TN, Trentino – Alto Adige).
Fermentation partly in steel and partly in barriques, being a classic method sparkling wine the second fermentation occurs in the bottle (with the addition of selected yeasts) and then a long aging on the lees for 40 months. The riddling on pupitres occurs manually, then the disgorgement without addition of liqueur d’expedition and finally it rest in bottle for 3-4 months. The color is straw yellow with golden reflections, crystal clear, while the aroma is complex, with a pleasant hint of yeast, citrus notes, fresh fruit, tropical. The taste is fresh, full-bodied, persistent. The sparkle is fine and persistent and gives creaminess in the mouth. It is consumed as an aperitif but its completeness makes you want to be accompanied throughout the entire meal. Total production is 4,000 bottles… but let’s taste it!
The farm Bellaveder covers eight hectares in Faedo (TN, Trentino – Alto Adige) above the village of San Michele all’Adige, all the area is historically suited to grape growing. The modern underground cellar was built in 2003 beside the ancient farmstead Mansum Bellaveder strategically located not only for wine production but also for the stunning panoramic view. The factors that allow the exploitation of both varieties red as white grapes are the clay-limestone soils, the south / south-west exposure, the constant ventilation thanks to the wind “Ora del Garda” and the temperatures that vary greatly day-night date because of the mountain.
The production of the farm Bellaveder ranges from chardonnay – the base to produce the sparkling TrentoDOC – to gewürztraminer and more full-bodied reds, such as Lagrein.
